With more lakes than the rest of the world put together, we're not short of places we can go. Granted, some of them are swamps, but we have over 30,000 lakes! That's just lakes! We're not even talking about rivers, beaches or bays. Let's talk about where you can go paddle boarding.

Paddleboarding is an easy to learn, low-impact water sport that has seen a spike in popularity over the past few years. Whether you want to get in shape, catch some sun on your face, or get some fun in with friends, there are plenty of places in Canada where you can get out on the water and experience the thrill of stand-up paddleboarding. For those who are new to the sport or just visiting Canada, this article contains information about the best places to go paddleboarding. That does not mean it is comprehensive or the be all and say all on locations, but it’s a pretty good list and we’re happy to share it with you so you can plan your adventures.

It’s best to keep in mind that what we are presenting are highlights. It does not incorporate skill level. Before visiting any of these locations, it’s best to do your research. Ask yourself, what is the weather like? Where are the entry points? Is my skill level appropriate for the water body I plan to visit? Even with Canada being so big, do I have enough gas to get there? We could write a very long list, but instead, we’ll share (sharing is caring) and answer any questions at the end (which means you can email us).

Here is our map of places to go paddleboarding in Canada.
